Workshop Description

The Drone Race trains participants to program a drone for complex, unassisted operation, as well as building their skills in solving logistical tasks entirely through code. Participants will be tested on their coding abilities to make the drone navigate through obstacles automatically. This is followed by a test of their programming of a robotic hand to place items into a designated box, as well as their implementation of control algorithms to precisely land the drone on specified target areas. On Your Chosen Day: Attend Workshops: Workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, but are available for pre-booking. If a session is full, you will be asked to queue for the next available one. Compete: After completing the workshop, you will immediately proceed to the competition area to show off your talent! Important Rules: Each participant may only attend the selected workshop once. Participants may attend other category workshops that are available. Each participant may only enter the selected competition once. Participants may attend other category competitions that are available. Both the workshop and the competition must be completed on the same day. Attending a workshop on Friday to compete on Saturday is not permitted. Event Conclusion: Day 3 (16/11/2025): This day is reserved for final tiebreakers (if necessary) and the Award Ceremony. There are no workshops or new competition entries on this day. For Drone Race: 1. This challenge uses AI-powered drones, so coding is required. 2. Participants will receive hands-on guidance and instruction during the workshop.
