Followed by the National Competition, the next challenge will go through physical competition — football. Team up in pairs and score as many goals as possible!
A. State Competition Regulation
Bring your creation to life in a 1-minute cinematic masterpiece! Tell the story of your car. Show us the spark of inspiration, the struggles of engineering, and the triumph of its design. Use slow-motion to showcase the mechanics of your kicker. Employ different camera angles to highlight its defensive capabilities. Capture the nail-biting moments of near misses and game-winning plays. We want to feel the excitement of the competition through your video.
The award goes to the most compelling narrative, the most ingenious design, and the most captivating visual storytelling. Make us believe in your robot car!
B. National Competition Regulation
Football Round: Teams will face off in a thrilling head-to-head battle, where each team will aim to score a goal. Each team will face every other team, and the total number of goals scored throughout the competition will be taken to determine the winner.

3. State Competition Regulations
Video Submission and Presentation:
-
All competition entries shall be submitted via online video upload.
-
The submitted video must present a compelling narrative that showcases the RC car, its specialised attachments, and its operational capabilities. The video should function as a short film, highlighting the design and engineering process.
-
Within the video, a segment of approximately one minute in length must be dedicated to a structured narrative. This segment should not merely describe features; it should convey the developmental journey of the RC car. Consider incorporating the following elements:
-
Conceptual Origin: Briefly articulate the initial design inspiration. What specific problem did the design aim to address? What are the defining characteristics of the car?
-
Developmental Challenges: Address one or two significant challenges encountered during the design and construction phases. Focus on substantial hurdles that require innovative solutions.
-
Engineering Solutions: Visually demonstrate the solutions implemented to overcome the aforementioned challenges. Utilise dynamic visuals, such as close-ups and slow-motion sequences, to highlight the ingenuity of the engineering.
-
Operational Demonstration: Showcase the RC car's capabilities in a simulated environment or through other visually compelling demonstrations.
-
-
Visual Presentation Standards: The RC car and its attachments must be clearly visible and adequately illuminated throughout the video. High-quality camera work and lighting are essential to showcase the design details effectively.
-
Narrative Delivery: The presentation must be professional and engaging, with clear and concise communication. Creativity is encouraged but not at the expense of clarity. Voice-over is optional.

4. Competition Regulations
Pre-Competition:
-
Participants must bring along their RC car.
-
Participants must be registered as contestants before they can enter the competition venue.
Modification Period:
-
During the competition, participants will have a designated 45-minute modification period. Participants may use this period to tactically modify their RC Cars in order to gain advantage over their opponent.
-
The committee will supply the necessary tools.
-
Participants are permitted to perform a run-test and amend their RC Cars during the modification period.
-
Participants are forbidden to carry any online or offline references to the competition.
-
Parents / Coaches are not permitted to have any form of communication with the participants during the competition.
Football Round:
-
Each team will consist of 2 participants.
-
Judges will call the teams to the competition field.
-
Each team will be assigned to one side of the map.
-
Participants can place their RC Car's starting position anywhere on the map except for the centre circle.
-
The football round will consist of 2 rounds, with each round lasting 2 minutes (120 seconds). The timer starts after the judge’s countdown.
-
Any RC car must not stay in the ‘goal’ area for more than 5 seconds at any given moment during the competition.
-
If the ball is kicked out of the field, the timer will continue, and the ball will be returned to the middle of the field.
-
When a goal is scored, the judges will give a signal, and the timer will be paused. The ball is returned to the middle of the field.
-
Players are allowed to pick up their RC Cars and place them in their respective area. The timer resumes when the team who was scored against kicks the ball.
-
If an RC car’s attachment falls off the RC Car and onto the field, the judges will retrieve the piece and return it to the player. The timer will not stop for the player to fix their RC Car.
-
RC cars on the field are not allowed to be picked up manually during the competition, unless approved by the judges.
-
External intervention is not allowed on the field throughout the competition. Only the RC cars are allowed to interact with the objects on the field.
-
The first round will conclude after 2 minutes, signaled by the judges. Participants should then reposition their RC cars in preparation for the second round.
